With a smile on her face, and a glass that is always half full, she moves ahead with outside the box thinking and with élan and flair to achieve her goals.
Born and raised in Windsor, Ontario, Sheryl left home to pursue a twenty-two year career in Toronto, working in the China/Giftware and Home Furnishings industry. She was employed by Royal Doulton, Rosenthal, Royal Worcester Spode, Orrefors Crystal and other presigious companies, on both the wholesale and retail sides of the business. Sheryl excelled in sales, store display, setting up tradeshows, as well as doing store installations and staff training across Canada.
Twenty five years ago, she changed career paths and founded The Greater Toronto Wedding Guide. After much success, the Toronto territory was traded for the province of Ontario and she moved back to her home town with her husband and four year old son.
Happily married to John for 30 years, the rest is history. As Publisher of the area's #1 wedding planner and wedding website community, she continues to expand her reach, while being an innovator in the bridal arena as a writer, speaker and publisher.
Sheryl is President of DMS Communications, a creative marketing and solutions company, and also serves as a Facebook Social Commentator for upscale companies, both locally as well as in the U.S.
As a proud supporter and advocate for the arts, Sheryl is a founding member of the Canada South Festival Network, The Canada South Blues Society, and, is a Past President of the Arts Council Windsor Region. She spent 18 years as one of the original organizers, of Bluesfest International and also served as the pubicist. At that time, the event ranked in the top ten festivals in its category, in North America.
Davies also sits on a board of esteemed wedding specialists, based in the United States. In 2004, she was awarded an Ontario Volunteer Award for hard work and dedication. She was also recognized for her contribution to the local Festival Industry by her peers in the Canada South Festival Network.
Twice nominated for a Biz Magazine award in the categories "Social Media Leader Who's a Tough Act to Follow," and "Leader of the Franchise World", Sheryl continues to give her very best effort- every day for her valued clients, friends and family. She believes that together we are all stronger with the support of others!
